TPS Evoh in Pipes: Discover All Applications

EVOH in Pipes 2fla
In heating and cooling and pre-insulated piping systems, a layer of TPS EVOH increases handling properties. It can also be used in drinking water, underground fuel and fuel refueling pipes for safety. Learn more about the benefits and applications of TPS EVOH in pipes.

Different Applications of TPS EVOH in Pipes
When it comes to pipes, TPS EVOH can be used in a wide range of applications. Discover all possibilities.

Heating and Cooling Systems
A common problem in heating and cooling pipes is the corrosion of the metal parts of the heating system. A barrier layer of TPS EVOH reduces the oxygen permeability of the pipe, preventing corrosion in the system.

Pre-Insulated Systems
Pre-insulated pipe systems are becoming increasingly popular in centralized and energy-efficient district energy systems. A layer of TPS EVOH extends the service life of pre-insulated pipe systems and increases their efficiency.

Vehicle Fuel Supply
Plastic fuel refueling pipes for automotive applications are lightweight and flexible. Adding a TPS layer to the multi-layer fuel refueling pipe minimizes fuel permeation and enhances safety properties.

Underground Fuel Transport
Plastic pipes are often used in gas stations to transport fuel from underground tanks to gas pumps and vehicles. If a barrier layer of TPS EVOH is added, it can ensure that the fuel does not penetrate into the surrounding soil.

Drinking Water Transport
The barrier layer of TPS EVOH in multilayer pipe systems reduces the risk of harmful chemicals entering the drinking water system. This is particularly important for pipes near gas stations, dry cleaners, industrial areas or brownfield construction sites.

Manufacturing Multilayer Pipes
Multilayer pipes can be produced by coextrusion or coextrusion coating processing technology.
- Coextrusion coating of TPS EVOH in multilayer pipes: Plastic pipes can be coated with a TPS EVOH layer to improve barrier properties.
- Coextrusion of TPS EVOH in multilayer pipes: Multilayer pipes can also be produced by an in-line coextrusion process.
